MT Medical YDE500 LED operating light

The YDE series LED operating light is built as a lens matrix in which every module has an independent control circuit. Failure of a single module does not black out the surgical field — this safeguard distinguishes the multi-lens design from single-source lamps and directly affects patient safety.

The dome screen is synthetic resin with a 2H hardness, anti-static and anti-infrared coating. The anti-infrared coating limits desiccation of patient tissue, while the anti-static coating prevents deposition of airborne particles. The central handle is detachable and sterilizable, made of PSU polysulfone withstanding heating up to 135°C. A spring arm holds the set position without drifting.

Patented focus technology delivers a light spot up to 250 mm in diameter and illumination depth up to 800 mm, while intensity up to 160,000 lx keeps the field readable during thoracic and burn surgery. Two independent LEDs provide basic illumination in endoscopic mode. An electronic adjustment programme keeps intensity constant, and the microprocessor control panel allows brightness from 30% to 100% in ten steps.

The RG colour compensation function adds red and green channels: saturated red corresponds to the R9 index, improving differentiation of vascular tissue, and 610 nm red light supports wound healing. The green channel corresponds to R11 and completes the spectrum. The slim, streamlined dome does not disturb laminar flow above the table, and the ABS housing with high heat dissipation extends LED life.
